His Domestic medicine, first pub. in 1769 went through a very large number of editions, both in England and America. He was father of popular medicine. Quarter leather and worn marbled boards, gold embossed title to spine, cover and spine loose from bound papers. Notes to endpapers, heavy foxing to front portrait, minor foxing throughout and tanning.
