Collation Brief: Title, [33]leaves, 1165pp. Salmon was a celebrated emperic who practised near St Bartholomew's Hospital, where he sold his cures, drugs, and professed alchemy. He wrote many astrological and semi-popular works. The book is rare in any condition for most copies were heavily used. Black Buckram cover with printed name to spine, red sprayed edges, dedication to Mary II, foxing and tanning, pages cut to very edge during restoration. Many leaves repaired, slight tear to title, pencil notes to inner cover, some leaves lacking at end. Last page is 4E7 (Chap. XVII The Letter S.).
