He was appointed Assistant Surgeon Staff on 3 December 1841, 41 Foot 31 December 1841, Staff 28 July 1843, 31 Foot 24 November 1843, 10th Foot 27 April 1846, Staff 30 July 1847, 41 Foot 31 December 1847. Surgeon 3 Foot 7 January 1853: 92 Foot 21 October 1853. Service: Afghanistan 1842; Sutej 1845.
