An outstanding work on the hand. This is the fourth Bridgewater Treatise. The series was founded by Frances Henry, Earl of Bridgewater (1750-1829) (Rev Egerton) to deal with "on the power wisdom and goodness of God as manifested in the creation".
Original green cloth with paper label binding is in poor condition. Stained, worn and splits to the hinge. Cover loose. Text block untrimmed and dusted. Finger marks and soiling occasionally especially to the fore and top margins. Refer to images. Bookplate: Ex Libris K.F. Russell. (227x150mm)
