1805 Clinical Lecture Notes Manuscript, Edinburgh. Volume of bound lecture notes written by Robert Druitt (senior) (1784-1822) taken from lectures given by James Russell (1755-1836) Professor of Clinical Surgery, University of Edinburgh 1803-1833. Notes are very fully annotated and accompanied by case histories. A brief family tree of the Druitt (Drewett) is inserted . Robert Druitt was the father of Robert Druitt, the author of 'Surgeon's Vade- Mecum'. Given to K.F. Russell by Mrs Isabella Border of Mooroolbark, the great-granddaughter of Robert Druitt (senior). Other lecture notes by Druitt are in the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. Rebound in quarter red calf on red cloth boards, which is in very good condition. Untrimmed text is yellowed, a little soiled to the foredge, good for age. Russell's pencilled notes to pastedown and flyleaf. Hinges internally cracked, boards holding well.
