This is a classic of anatomy in which Zinn gives the best description of the human eye up to his time. His name is still attached to the zonule of Zinn and the zonule of Zinn and the liagament of Zinn. He was professor of medicine and director of the Botanical Gardens at Gottingen. As a tribute to his work his work in botany, Linneus named the plant zinnia after him. Original calf binding, gilt tooling on spine, with stamped foral endpapers is stained to the extremities, corners bumped, a few marks. Text has mostly moderatefoxing throughout, some sections overt.
