Stevens gave his lectures first in Haymarket in 1764. A lecture on heads was published in a pirated edition in 1770. Sold to Charles Lee Lewes (1740-1803) an actor in 1774. The first authentic edition was in 1785.
Later fine binding in half calf on rust brown linen boards. Text overall in very good condition with a little foxing and soiling to preliminaries. Bookplate: Ex Libris Anatomica K.F. Russell. (178x110mm)
