Haller was professor of anatomy, physiology, and botany at Güttingen. He later returned to Berne. He wrote bibliographies of medicine and surgery as well as this one on anatomy.' 'Baron Horace de Landau (1824-1903) was one of rich enterpreneurs of the 19th century. He was director of the Vienna House of Rothschild and had a magnificent library which included the famous 14th century manuscript of Psalter of Bonne de Luxcanburg now in the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
