Searcy had spent 14 years in the NT as Collector of Customs, now (1905) was assistant Clerk in the House of Assembly. Apparently the Government, now enacting the Tropical Products Bill, felt this should be published under its aegis. Style is anecdotal from the viewpoint of a Great White Hunter or Colonial Overlord. Booklet (sans rear cover) latterly bound in quarter blue calf marbled boards in good condition. Cover stained and chipped. Preliminaries heavily toned, contents lightly toned, straight and tight.
