Aus. Lit. Manuscript: 'A Beachcomber's Diary' John Blight. Typed and bound manuscript of 70 poems on 70 pages. A Beachcomber's Diary was first published by Angus & Robertson in 1963 and contained 90 poems by this Queensland poet, so this likely a forerunner to the finished work. There are two hand corrections, a spelling change and the poem Meridians has a hand dedication to Jack McKinney (writer, philosopher and soon to be husband of Judith Wright). Included is a typed copy of a review of poet Lola Gornall by H.L. Menken. Blight (1913-1995) was an enthusiastic champion of other poets. The bulk of his literary estate is held in the Fryer Library, University of Queensland. (26x20cm)
