Very Rare Sheffield Bowie Knife, c.1855. Clip pointed blade stamped ricasso 'first rate, Booth & Murray, Sheffield'. The blade etched with patriotic motto 'For Australia' and scroll decorations. Nickel silver oval guard. Cast bronze cutlery hilt in the form of a sheaf of wheat. Purportedly carried by an Australian soldier during WWI, and later used around Cooma, NSW. With original scabbard.
