Rare and Important Presentation Shashka Sabre
Presented to Brigadier General Keith Maitland Davie by the Armenian Government, likely around the 10th May 1919.
A 19th-century blade featuring a hollow-ground and 2 fullers, with remnants of earlier engraving, including crown. Later silver niello hilt and scabbard mounts, likely made new for the presentation.
Purchased from Robert Hales, London in 1990s.
