Israel Medley
Three items including:
1- A two volume boxed set celebrating victory in the Yom Kippur War and The Separation of Forces. Appears to be published in 1974 and covers the time from October 1973 through to the end of 'final' negotiations with Syria, Egypt et al. Each volume has around 190 pages of mainly photographs and longer captions in Hebrew, French, Russian and English. All text with similar translations.
Red flocked boards have lightly soiled spines, very mild toning to page edges. Slipcase in poor condition, faded and wear/splitting to seams.
2 - Israel and the Middle East, R.J. Hawke (President Australian Council of Trade Unions, later Australian Prime Minister and long term supporter of Israel). A transcript of an address given to 26th Biennial Conference of the Zionist Federation of Australia & New Zealand, January 1974. Good condition
3 - Was the Establishment of Israel a Mistake? Sandor Berger. Interstellar Publications (self published), Sydney 1967.
Berger, born a Hungarian Jew, was often seen in the 60s-70s carrying an anti-psychiatry placard in Sydney's streets, or nailing his polemics to light posts. This is a treatise on anti Semitism informed by history up to the recent 6 Day War.
Card cover foxed, contents very lightly toned but overall good. 32x24cm (Yom Kippur)
