Born in 1844, Lewis had a huge influence on the commercial and civic life of South Australia and for his last 25 years an MLA, dying a year after the publication of this autobiographical volume. Lewis gift inscription to A.J. Saunders to first title page. Newspaper clipping pasted verso. Purple cloth boards are spotted and a little wear, spine sunned. Toned preliminaries.
