War Memorial Founder J.L. Treloar Letter re AIF and Canadians J.L. Treloar signed typewritten letter on Australian War Memorial, Exhibition Buildings, Melbourne letterhead to H.S. Gullett (Minister for Trade and Customs), who was preparing for a visit to Canada in 1932. This letter offers to Gullet ‘a record of occasions when the Australians and Canadians were closely associated during the war.' Attached is a 5 page precis on Australian/Canadian WWI co-operation which we assume is authored by Treloar. Also, a carbon copy of same, plus a thank you letter from Gullet's secretary. Original has various underlines and marks which appears that it was used by Minister Gullett on his Canadian visit. Overall, reasonably good condition. (27x21cm)
