EDINBURGH: Printed for W. McWilliam and P Brown, Nicolson Street; Ogles, Duncan, and Cochran; and T. Underwood, London 1816. Collation: Half title, title, 32pp :: 13 plates. A late appearance of Cheselden's plates, but it was still being printed in 1822. Cheselden was a noted surgeon and anatomist who was admitted to the Royal Society in 1712 and became surgeon to Queen Caroline. As well as being known for his operations on the eye and for lithotomy. Blue board cover with printed label, well used copy with marks and heavy shelf wear, small tear to endpaper, some pages mis-sized, heavy foxing and tanning. References: Russell 177.
