"Description and use of new forceps with three blades" forming pp [21]-35 and with folding 'A vindication of the forceps described and recommended by Dr Leake' #288. Leake founded the new Westminister Lying-In Hospital in 1765 and an account of this with an illustration is given in his text on Sig. S2a/b. His 'Lecture introductory' was first published in 1773. Then 1776, 1782, 1787 all with slightly differing contents. Modern binding in half leather is good. Preliminaries and forceps plate very foxed and offset.
