Publisher Smith has edited 14 of Friends illustrated diaries, with much on Friend's time in the Army camps in Brisbane and as an official war artist in Borneo. Also, much of his vital observations on his life and the characters that inhabit it.
Illustrated jacket is slightly grubby and chipped with old tape repairs. Blue cloth boards are good, very lightly toned contents are very clean, straight and well bound. (23x15cm)
