OTHER NOTES: The artist moved to 'Carlsberg' in Kensington Road, South Yarra, in 1907 soon after his return from Europe where he was influenced by the work of Corot and Monet amongst others. In a letter of that same year to Tom Roberts, he wrote: 'this is the loveliest place I have ever lived in.
