Rare and Interesting Gold Mounted 18th C Pocket Knife Made by Goddard of Salisbury, cutler to their Majesties, circa 1770s-80s. MoP scale grips gold inlaid with Prince of Wales ostrich feathers and blank shield escutcheon. Bright cut steel jewelled decoration. The blades stamped 'Goddard' and 'Sarum'. Likely owned by George Augustus Frederick Prince Regent and Prince of Wales. From 1762 until his coronation as George IV in 1820. L11cm (closed)
