OTHER NOTES: The Queen Bee was a wooden carvel twin-screw steamer built in 1907 to the order of Captain Joseph Weston at the Rock Davis shipyard at Blackwall, NSW. It was designated for the coastal trade, and was lost off Barrenjoey Head, Broken Bay on September 2nd 1922. The 300 ton steamship Sophia Ann was a 19th Century coastal steamer built in 1883 by shipbuilder W Peat at Tomakin, NSW. Associated with the Australian maritime trade, notably operating out of Sydney, and running routes along the northern rivers of New South Wales (also under the command of Captain Joseph Weston), the vessel was reportedly wrecked around July 1908.
