Although said to be abridged, it is in fact, very complete. William Cooke RCS was a London Surgeon who co-founded the Hunterian Society and served as its Secretary for 20 years. Giovanni Battista Morgagni, (1682-1771) with this book founded morbid anatomy. It is one of the really great classics of diseases of medicine. Morgagni was chief professor of anatomy at Padua and President of the University at Padua. Quarter leather binding with buckram boards, similar condition, foxing, tanning, some waving.
