Contains the APPENDIX of 2pp after p505 said to be lacking in nearly all copies. Work itself is rare. Davy was a Professor of Chemistry, Member of the Royal Academy of Stockholm, President of the Royal Society, Member of Societies in the US, Dublin, Manchester Edinburgh and London. His work was important for his isolation of chemistry elements including potassium and sodium. Quarter leather binding with marbled board, gold embossed title to spine, well used, spine cover cracking, some tanning, marks and foxing.
