2 Leather Pockets of Hand Drawn Anatomical Sketches c.1880-90, owned by Arthur Machen Hill Two black leather wallets labelled 'Physiology diagrams' No.1 & No. 2. Hand drawn sketches c. 1880-1890. No.1 contains 13 pen and wash drawings on the human bones including 'Vertebral Column'. Each had a tissue overlay with outline drawing. Captions are written on each drawing, most colour sketches and outline overlays. No. 2 contains 20 pen and wash drawings of comparative anatomy, most of the circulatory system including 'Vascular System of Pigeon'. Caption on drawings. 2 leather pockets in good condition with some handling wear, foxing and tanning to diagrams, paper scuffing. Russell notes that these belonged to Arthur Machen Hill (1903-1979), renowned Australian gynaecologist and obstetrician, who graduated from University of Melbourne in 1931. (207x155mm & 204x150mm)
