Note: one plate in photographic facsimile. The make up of this item suggests that Sheldon obtained reprints of Lieberkühn papers and used them with a general title and a life of the author. Lieberkühn was a physician and anatomist at Berlin. He described the glands of the intestines to which his name is attached but these had been earlier described by Malpighi and Brunner. Later rebinding in brown cloth. Title page and preliminaries foxed, contents lightly toned but overall very good. Bookplate: Ex Libris Anatomica K.F. Russell. Bound in reproduction flyer for a series of lectures by Sheldon. (232x172mm)
