Phillips taken in Melbourne. 2 - German postcard from the front to Stuttgart, February 1918. 3 - Letter from Ordinance Dept. to 34th Battalion training camp at Rutherford advising that a packet of dummy bullets had been sent, 1916. 4 - 62 page intelligence booklet 'Notes on the Austro-Hungarian Army' includes German Military Vocabulary Property of Augustus Gibson Fairleigh of the 34th Batt. 5 - Military train ticket, Padova Italy…used by Fairleigh after the war while on leave. 6 - Military Forces of the Commonwealth 1908 Signalling Certificate, Gunner Edward. 7 - Military Forces of the Commonwealth Certificate of Discharge for Macgregor Edward, joined 1900 (aged 14 1/2) dated 1909. 8 - Letter of Reference from the Bandmaster at Victoria Barracks. Sydney, for Edward. Also a letter of reference from subsequent employer (1911) West's Pictures in Adelaide where Edward had been playing in a silent movie orchestra.
