2 Volumes by John Bell on the Bones, Muscles and Joints, 1793 and 1810.
John Bell (1793 & 1810) was brother to Sir Charles Bell. He was a surgeon and anatomist and like Charles was a skilled draftsman. He assisted his brother in their private school of anatomy.

There is no date on the title but the preface is dated Sept. 1793.
In the advertisement Bell points out that this volume of the text and the Engravings (1794) are separate publications but he has placed references to the plates in the margin.
This is the text for the volume of plates which was printed the following year. It was to form the first volume of the text book of the volume of anatomy started by John and completed by his brother Charles. The separate text volume is rarely seen.
