Portrait of Willis aged 45 on *6v. Willis practised first in Oxford and then London. His greatest work was his Cerebci anatome, 1664 in which he described the 'Circle of Willis'. His Pathologiae Cerebci deals with pathology of the brain and 'convulsions'. It is one of the earliest textbooks on nervous diseases noted for its striking clinical picture especially of general paresis, Includes Willis' work on scurvy. It was first published in London 1667, with the second edition in London 1668.
