Biography: Born 22 July 1814: Died 12 December 1875 at Penrhos, Carnarvon. M.R.C.S. 27 Jun 1836: M.D.: F.R.C.S. 10 November 1859. Educated St Bartholomew's Hospital. Supernumerary Assistant Surgeon 4 July 1848: to Light Cavalry 3 February 1849; Civil Surgeon at Rajshahye from 1857 to 1863; Surgeon 6 September 1862; to Tipperah 1863: to East Indian Regiment 1863: to 1st Bengal Native Infantry (formerly 21st N.I.) 17 March 1865: to 34 N.I. 1865: Civil Supt at Akyab Jail from 1867 to 1870; Surgeon Major 1868. Retired to England 20 August 1871. Service: Punjab 1849; Burma Decorations: Punjab (Goojerat bar); India 1854 (Pegu bar).
