Biography - Born Great Yarmouth 2 September 1792. Died Athenaeum Club 18 August 1853. M.R.C.S. 5 December 1823; F.R.C.S. 11 December 1843 (one of the original 300 Fellows); F.R.S. 1829. Temporary Assistant Surgeon Ordnance Medical Department 20 May 1812. 2nd Assistant Surgeon Ordnance Medical Department 2 December 1812. Vittoria (21 June 1813), Pyreness (28 July - 2 August 1813), Orthes (27 February 1814), Toulouse (10 April 1814) In 1814 he went to Quebec on the secret expedition, and for these services he was decorated.
