The poem, written in some 7,400 dactylic hexameters, is divided into six untitled books, and explores Epicurean physics through poetic language and metaphors. This is quite an early edition of this classic poem in Latin and Greek. Vellum binding with Yapp edges is aged and soiled. Toned text has numerous marginal number notations, underlinings, and the first leaf has pencil m/s in Latin, signed and dated 1596. Page 1 has the fore margin excised.
