Two Mid Victorian Medical Indentures
Lot comprises a red solander box containing 2 indentures.
Indenture, dated 15 June 1850 between the Royal College of Surgeons of England and William Owen and his wife Caroline Amelia. Regarding a gift to the family of a deceased Conservator at the College.
Indenture, dated 30 December 1859, between the Royal College of Surgeons of England and Edwin Wilkins Field of 36 Lincolns Inn Fields. Appears to be in regard to building alterations of a neighbour of the College.
There are also 2 red seals and 2 photographs, one is of Richard Owen and the other is unknown. Both indentures have older transparent tape repairs to vellum tears. 550x700mm (indentures)
