Includes:
1 - 'A Chart Shewing Seven Forts Proposed by Commodore Sir William Wiseman Bart C.B. for the Defences of Port Jackson.'
Shows fort placement from Balmain to the Heads with dotted lines denoting 2000 yards range of guns (66x86cm) good folded condition.
2 - Plan of The Sow and Pigs Flats showing borings for the western channel and proposed dredging, 1872 (62x82cm). Raggy selvage, short tear to a fold line, overall good.
3 - A Plan of a Fort Fitted with Capt. Coles's cupolas as used in the Rolf Krake Danish Gunboat' (33x33cm). Edges spotted and small losses, overall good folded condition.
4 - 1863 Report…On Harbour Defences, with Minutes of Evidence (32 pages). Captain of the Royal Engineers lists current defences such as 5 eight inch guns on traverses at Kirribilli, discussion on 'Block Ships' against invasion and much more.
Cover a little soiled, contents fairly clean and straight.
